Bucky's life is pretty much the same, down to the name, with the exception that she was born a woman. She's pretty okay with it too. While in Quiet Mounds, she remembered the events of Infinity War. Less okay with that. |

Bucky started out a tom boy, always rough and tumble, and game to stand up for her best friend Steve fucking Rogers when he got is ass kicked behind a dumpster somewhere. The two of them were inseparable up until the time Bucky joined the WWII war effort and managed to weasel her way into a special position in the front line. That is how she ended up as a test subject in a Nazi prison camp. She seemed to come through unscathed, at least at first, and apparently fell to her death during a mission. Surprise, turns out the Nazi experiments did more than they thought, and she survived the fall. Yay! That put her in the hands of Soviets who partnered with HYDRA (same Nazis, different branding), who used brainwashing to turn her into one of the deadliest assassins of the century. Less yay. Eventually she out out. Took a while to get better. |
